What is a power pack?

If you have a website or an online project, you know how important it is for it to run smoothly. Sometimes, especially when your site starts to grow or you get more visitors than usual, you might realize that the resources from your hosting plan are not enough, and you may receive notifications indicating that you've exceeded CPU usage, RAM usage, etc. This is where the Power Pack comes in.

A Power Pack is an upgrade or an add-on that you can attach to your current hosting plan to boost its performance. It gives you access to more vCPU (virtual processing units), more RAM, and allows you to handle more simultaneous processes. All of this without needing to switch plans or move your site to a different service.

Think of the Power Pack as a turbo boost for your hosting plan, perfect for when you need more resources, either because your site is growing or because you have a project that requires extra capacity.

Why would you need a Power Pack?

1. Traffic surges: If you know you're going to receive more visitors than usual (for example, during a launch or a promotional campaign), a Power Pack can ensure that your site doesn’t crash or slow down.

2. More demanding applications: If you use applications or websites that require more power, such as online stores, forums, or anything that handles many interactions simultaneously, this extra boost in resources will be extremely useful.

3. Avoid errors and slowdowns: If your site runs out of resources, you may start seeing error messages or experience parts of your site becoming unresponsive. The Power Pack gives your site the extra muscle to keep it running smoothly.

How does it work?

When you sign up for a hosting plan, you're allocated a portion of the server's resources. This includes a specific number of vCPUs, a certain amount of RAM, and a limit on the number of simultaneous processes your site can handle.

Over time, or as your site starts to demand more resources, these allocated resources may become insufficient. This is where you can purchase a Power Pack, which allows you to increase those resources without any hassle.

For example, a Power Pack can provide you with more processing power, additional RAM (which helps your pages load faster), and the ability to handle more simultaneous connections or processes. All this without needing to change your plan or move to a dedicated server.

When should you consider a Power Pack?

If you've ever encountered resource-related errors on your site, such as reaching the limits of CPU, RAM, or simultaneous processes, it's time to consider a Power Pack. It’s also a great option if you’re expecting a high-traffic period or have noticed your site slowing down when handling a large number of visitors. A Power Pack could be just what you need to give your site that extra boost.
