Domain Management Policy

The management and administration of domains are the direct and total responsibility of the customer. Webzi is not responsible under any circumstances for any matter related to the administration of a domain, whether national or international, based on the following policies:

Inability to Register or Transfer Any Domain to Webzi

There are domains registered with other providers, and it is not Webzi's responsibility to have the ability to transfer them or manage them through the customer area. Webzi's staff will always provide guidance on the processes to follow so that the customer can take advantage of the available tools and resources, provided that the customer requests the corresponding information in a timely manner.

Expiration, Cancellation, and/or Lack of Email Verification

Webzi is currently a Registration Service Provider (RSP) of the American company Tucows Inc. for international domains and is an accredited Registrar for Mexican domains authorized by the Network Information Center of Mexico. These companies have their own guidelines based on international policies of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Therefore, Webzi disclaims all responsibility for the expiration or cancellation of any domain for any of the possible reasons, which include but are not limited to:

  • Incomplete email verifications
  • Request for confirmation of any process via email and no response was received
  • Domain cancellation in general

The service fee or payment for domain registration to Webzi should not be considered under any circumstances as ownership guarantee of the domain, but as payment for the intermediation of the registration with the corresponding entities.

Webzi offers the domain registration service with ID protection (identity protection) which comes at an additional cost and only guarantees the non-publication of the registrant's personal information in a public WHOIS.

To ensure ownership and full control of a domain, as well as complete protection against unwanted transfers and automatic expiration, a separate contract must be signed for a maximum period of 10 years with an additional fee for this service.

Cancellation or Deletion of Domain Due to Lack of Email Confirmation

Webzi reserves the right to cancel an internet domain at any time if an email with a confirmation request is not responded to or confirmed. This is to ensure that each domain has an attentive owner.

Webzi may cancel and completely delete any domain without prior notice if it perceives a lack of response from a client in email communications. Before proceeding with the deletion process, the domain will be suspended for 15 days. During this time, the client can observe the interruption of the domain's service and request reactivation. If the client does not make this request within this period, Webzi may completely delete the domain, making it available for anyone without any liability for Webzi regarding the domain.

Domain Cancellation

Webzi reserves the right to delete any domain, either due to a lack of email confirmation, the inability to contact a client using the provided contact information when creating their client account, or any breach of usage.

Before completely deleting the domain, it will go through a process of suspension and deactivation for 15 days. During this time, the client can observe the interruption of the domain's service and request reactivation. If the client does not make this request within this period, Webzi will consider that the client no longer wishes to keep the domain in question and may delete the domain completely, making it available for anyone without any liability for Webzi regarding the domain.

Domain Disputes

Webzi has the authority to initiate disputes for Mexican domains. However, this does not apply to international domains. Therefore, any domain holder agrees that any domain dispute, before being taken to any court, must be initiated with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), the entity responsible for administering domains worldwide.

This dispute must be conducted directly between those who believe they have the rights to or possess the ownership of the domain, completely excluding Webzi from the dispute. Any person can initiate this dispute based on the Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy published by ICANN at the following address: https://www.icann.org/resources/pages/help/dndr/udrp-en

Refund Policy

Webzi will not be able to issue any refunds for domain registration or renewal fees. As mentioned previously, the service contracted with Webzi is solely for domain registration intermediation. Once the domain has been entered into our systems, the service can be considered as provided, releasing us from any future responsibility.
