Domain Management Policy
Domain management and administration is the direct and total responsibility of the customer. Webzi acts as an intermediary between the customer and domain registrars, and is not responsible under any circumstances for any matter related to the administration of a domain, whether national or international.
1. Webzi as Registrar
Webzi operates as:
- RSP (Registration Service Provider) of Registries for international domains (.com, .net, .org, etc.)
- Accredited Registrar by the Network Information Center of Mexico (NIC Mexico) for .mx domains
Both entities have their own guidelines based on the policies of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). The customer accepts that domain registration and administration is subject to these policies, which can be consulted at icann.org.
Important: Payment for domain registration to Webzi should not be considered under any circumstances as a guarantee of ownership of the domain, but rather as payment for the intermediation service of registration with the corresponding entities.
2. Domain Transfers
2.1 Transfers to Webzi (Incoming)
Not all domains can be transferred to Webzi. There are technical and administrative restrictions that may prevent it. Webzi will advise the customer on the processes to follow, provided the customer requests the corresponding information in a timely manner. It is not Webzi's responsibility to guarantee the ability to transfer or manage domains registered with other providers.
2.2 Transfers from Webzi (Outgoing)
The customer has the right to transfer their domains to another registrar at any time, subject to the following conditions:
- The domain must be unlocked (the customer can do this from their customer area)
- The customer must obtain the authorization code (Auth Code/EPP Code) from their customer area
- The domain must not be in the post-registration grace period (first 60 days after registration)
- The domain must not be in dispute or legal proceedings
- The domain must have at least 60 days of remaining validity
Webzi will not charge any fee for outgoing transfers. However, the new registrar may charge for receiving the transfer.
2.3 Lock Due to Registrant Data Change
According to ICANN policies, any change in registrant data (name, organization, or email address) automatically triggers a 60-day transfer lock. During this period, the domain cannot be transferred to another registrar. The customer may opt out of activating this lock when making the change, assuming the corresponding risks.
3. Email Verification
ICANN requires all domain registrants to verify their email address. Failure to complete this verification may result in domain suspension.
Webzi disclaims all responsibility for the expiration or suspension of any domain for the following reasons:
- Incomplete or unperformed email verifications
- Confirmation requests via email without response
- Verification emails marked as spam by the customer
- Incorrect or non-existent email addresses provided by the customer
4. Domain Expiration and Renewal
4.1 Expiration Notifications
Webzi will send expiration notifications to the email address registered in the customer's account. It is the customer's responsibility to keep their contact information updated and review such notifications. Webzi is not responsible for expired domains due to unread notifications or those filtered as spam.
4.2 Auto-Renewal
Domains registered with Webzi do not have auto-renewal enabled by default. The customer is responsible for manually renewing their domains before the expiration date. If they wish to enable auto-renewal, they can do so from their customer area, ensuring they have a valid payment method registered.
4.3 Post-Expiration Periods
When a domain expires, it goes through different stages before becoming available to the public. Periods and costs vary depending on the domain extension:

| Redemption | 30 days | The domain can be recovered by paying an additional redemption fee (significantly higher than the renewal cost). |
| Pending Deletion | 5 days | The domain cannot be recovered and will be released to the public. |
Note: Exact periods vary by registrar and domain extension. Webzi does not guarantee the availability of redemption period recovery for all extensions. Redemption fees are set by upstream registrars and can be considerably high (check current prices).
5. Domain Cancellation
Webzi reserves the right to suspend or cancel any domain in the following cases:
- Failure to confirm email verification
- Inability to contact the customer through the provided information
- Use of the domain for activities that violate our Content Policies
- Court order or request from competent authorities
- Duly proven intellectual property infringement
Cancellation process: Before deleting a domain, it will enter a 15-day suspension period. During this time, the customer can observe the service interruption and request unblocking by clarifying the situation. If there is no response, Webzi will proceed to delete the domain, making it available for registration by anyone, without this generating any liability for Webzi.
6. DNS and Nameserver Configuration
DNS (Domain Name System) and nameserver configuration is the exclusive responsibility of the customer. Webzi provides the necessary tools to manage DNS records from the customer area, but is not responsible for:
- Incorrect configurations made by the customer
- DNS propagation times (can take up to 48 hours worldwide)
- Issues arising from pointing the domain to external servers
- Interruptions caused by nameserver changes
7. Identity Protection (ID Protection)
Webzi offers the Identity Protection (ID Protection) service, which hides the registrant's personal data in public WHOIS queries. This service:
- Has an additional cost to domain registration
- Only guarantees non-publication of personal data in public WHOIS
- Is not available for all domain extensions (some extensions like .mx do not allow it due to registry policies)
- Does not protect against legal requirements or requests from competent authorities
8. Premium Domains and Special Pricing
Some domains are classified as "premium" by registries and have prices higher than standard. The customer should consider that:
- The registration price of a premium domain may differ significantly from the renewal price
- Premium domain prices are set by registries, not by Webzi
- The price shown at registration time is the current price; subsequent renewals may have different costs
- Webzi will display the renewal price before processing any payment
9. Domain Disputes
In case of disputes over domain ownership:
For international domains (.com, .net, .org, etc.):
Any dispute must be resolved according to ICANN's Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP), before going to court. The dispute must be conducted directly between the interested parties, leaving Webzi completely out of the process. More information at: icann.org/udrp
For .mx domains:
Disputes are resolved according to NIC Mexico's Dispute Resolution Policy (LDRP). Webzi can assist in the process, but resolution corresponds to NIC Mexico and authorized dispute resolution providers.
10. Free Subdomains
Webzi offers free subdomains (such as name.wbz.mx or name.artehosting.cloud) as a complementary service. By using this service, the customer accepts that:
- Use is subject to real and technical availability
- Webzi does not guarantee permanent exclusivity of any free subdomain
- Reseller customers must respect prior subdomain assignments, even on different servers. Deliberate creation of accounts with already-assigned subdomains will be considered a violation of these policies
- Webzi may reassign, suspend, or cancel subdomains inactive for more than 90 days or used for activities contrary to our policies
- Subdomains are provided "as is" without warranties and are not subject to refund
Webzi maintains complete ownership of the main domains (wbz.mx, artehosting.cloud, etc.) and, therefore, of all derived subdomains.
11. Special Protection Contract
For customers requiring additional guarantees on the ownership and protection of their domains, Webzi offers a special contract that includes:
- Protection against unauthorized transfers
- Guaranteed renewal (no automated expiration)
- Personalized monitoring and alerts
- Priority support for domain-related issues
This service requires signing a separate contract, with a maximum term of 10 years and an additional fee. Contact our sales team for more information.
12. Refund Policy
No refunds are issued for domain registration, renewal, or transfer, since the service contracted with Webzi is for intermediation. Once registration or renewal is processed with the corresponding registrar, the service is considered fully rendered.
This applies even if:
- The customer decides not to use the domain
- The customer registered the domain by mistake (typo, incorrect extension, etc.)
- The customer no longer needs the domain
- The domain is suspended for policy violations
